Did you think Congress only works on Health Care? No way, will this Congress will not miss an opportunity to spend more of your money! In September they passed H.R. 3221, which includes 8 BILLION dollars for The Early Learning Challenge Fund (ELCF). States have to match their amount given, but oops...no, they can submit a waiver, based on financial difficulty, which the Government claims approximately thirty-five states will probably do.
Government wants earlier access to your child. If we target three and four year old children, we can dramatically increase test scores...I doubt it! Maybe that money would be better spent in ensuring parents know how to read. According to the Government, 55% of children are enrolled in preschool programs. Head Start provides programs for those who cannot afford private programs.
I am relieved I no longer have small children, as it is increasingly difficult to keep children from the ever increasing influence of the left wing agenda. More and more, parents have little say or control concerning classroom content. Over the last twenty years, I have watched the "dumbing down" of foundational subjects, and the escalation of social justice in schools.
Mr. President, using 8 BILLION $$$$ of hard earned taxpayer dollars, will more likely end up in the coffers of the teachers' union, rather than benefiting one single three or four year old child. Unions did turn our "BIG TIME" for your campaign, so we do see the connection. This is another example of tax and spend on nothing that will change the fabric of America. We continue to drift from hard core values to Socialistic Utopia.
No wonder more parents Home School! They know the basic "R's" still apply, and those one room schools of "by-gone days", sure did produce generations of wise, educated Americans. Hopefully more parents will choose to teach their children, and delete the liberal propaganda...at least until college! I can't wait to see the end result and how effectively those 8 BILLION DOLLARS WERE SPENT!
One more example on how "out of touch" this Administration is with the concerns and wishes of the American people!
