In one paragraph, President Obama told everyone what they wanted to hear...troops "in", and troops "out". Once again, the decisive decisions cannot be made by this President. Sitting on the fence is fine until the rail, spikes, or wire becomes too uncomfortable, hence you jump to one side or the other. The un-Presidential Obama will be called to task in his self appointed eighteen months. At that time we will see how "raw" he is from fence sitting.
Lesson to learn: Liberals always say what is needed to be said for the immediate moment. All is focused on placating the base and throwing a few scraps to his opponents, too keep them half way content. You cannot believe what they say. Case in point...President Clinton had "Bosnia" as a thorn in his side during the 90's. He emphatically promised to have the troops out in one year...one year later, there was too much progress to pull the troops out, and in within six months, U.S. air strikes began. During the same time frame, he began decreasing the U.S.military substantially. P.S. Our troops are still in Bosnia!
Take what you hear with a grain of salt. Immediate concerns are the latest polls, and don't you forget that. Clinton ushered in the new era of "polls rule", so check out the polls in eighteen months as the almanac for Obama's next speech concerning troops "in or "out".
